Sandburg SongBag Concert Series
The Songbag Concert Series is named for Carl Sandburg's collection of songs and stories The American Songbag. The series aims to present an array of musical showcases that honor the legacy of Carl Sandburg as a poet, writer, activist, musician and prophet. Cactus Lee, an Austin, TX singer-songwriter, will grace the stage on April 14th.

Spend your Saturday afternoon indulging in small-batch craft beer flights, as we "hop" from one brewery to the next on this all-inclusive tour through the brick-paved streets of the historic downtown Galesburg district.

Guests will hear from local brewmasters, learn about historic Boone's Alley, the stunning architecture of the area, and (if it's ready) taste a beer or two right from the barrels.

Gouache Workshop with Raphael Iaccarino
Though similar to watercolor, Gouache is often preferred by many artists due to its opacity. It can be re-wet and reworked and doesn't require transparency or the white of the paper for light, though is often used in tandem with watercolors. Beloved artist and instructor Raphael Iaccarino will help you to explore and discover this unique medium at the Galesburg Community Arts Center. It may just become your new personal favorite!
